Fibre optic Cabling
Fibre Optic Cabling is the method used to connect multiple cabinet locations or multiple LAN’s on a network. This is sometimes referred to as ‘ backbone cabling ‘. Backbones can be provided with copper links but have distance limitation. In this situation fibre optic technology is required.
It is also possible to have fibre LAN’s (Fibre to Desk Installations) however this can be expensive. Therefore with the cost comparison to copper networks, fibre remains the first choice for backbone technology within the industry.
With our vast experience and knowledge of fibre technology, CS Comms can assist in the specification, installation, termination, test and verification of fibre optic networks.
